Congratulations to Kun for receiving the 2024 International Birnstiel Award in Vienna!
Kun was recognized for her structural biology work on the Pol IV machinery, revealing how a two-RNA-polymerase system produces double stranded RNA. She was selected while working at the Center for Excellence of Plant Molecular Sciences in Shanghai, becoming the first Birnstiel Award laureate based in China.
